Preliminary Examination

  • Type: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions)
  • Papers: 2 (General Studies I & General Studies II)
  • Marks: 200 marks each (Total 400 marks)
  • Duration: 2 hours for each paper
  • Negative Marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer
  • Qualifying Nature: Only for screening, marks not counted for final merit

Main Examination

  • Type: Descriptive
  • Papers: 6 (Essay, General Studies I-IV, Optional Subject Paper I & II)
  • Marks: Total 1500 marks (250 marks per paper)
  • Duration: 3 hours for each paper
  • Language: English/Assamese

Interview / Personality Test

  • Marks: 275 marks
  • Final selection based on Mains + Interview marks

APSC CCE Exam 2025 - Eligibility Criteria

  • APSC CCE Exam 2025 - Age Limit:
    • 21 to 38 years as on 01-01-2024
    • Upper age relaxation: OBC/MOBC – 3 years, SC/STP/STH – 5 years, PwBD – 10 years, Ex-Servicemen (OBC/MOBC) – 15 years, Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST) – 17 years
  • Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen and an original inhabitant of Assam
  • Educational Qualification: Graduate degree from a recognized university under the UGC Act, 1956 or equivalent
  • Language Proficiency: Must be able to speak Assamese or any official/tribal language of Assam
  • Employment Registration: Must be registered in a District Employment Office in Assam
  • Other Requirements: Must submit “Small Family Norms Declaration” as per government rules

How to Download APSC CCE Admit Card 2025

  1. Visit the official APSC website: https://apsc.nic.in/
  2. On the homepage, locate the ‘Important Links’ section.
  3. Click on the link titled “Call Letters/Admit Cards”.
  4. Click on the link for Download Admit Cards for CCE Preliminary Exam.
  5. You will be redirected to the Admit Card login portal.
  6. Enter your Application Number/Roll Number and Date of Birth.
  7. Click on the Print Admit Card button.
  8. Your APSC CCE Admit Card 2025 PDF will appear on the screen.
  9. Carefully review the information on the admit card.
  10. Download and print a copy of the admit card to carry to the exam centre.

Note: The admit card will be available for download from 19th May 2025. For any issues, candidates may email cceapsc@gmail.com between 19th and 23rd May 2025 by 5:00 pm.
