Indian Army Sports Quota - Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit

Indian Army Sports Quota Age Limit:
- 17½ to 25 years as on the date of enrolment
- Date of Birth Block: 30 Sep 2000 to 01 Oct 2007 (both dates inclusive)
- Marital Status: Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible
- Educational Qualification: Minimum Matriculation (10th pass)

Sports Achievements:
- Havildar: Medalist at Junior/Senior National or represented State at National/International, or medalist in Khelo India Games/Youth Games/University Games (from 01 Apr 2023 or after)
- Naib Subedar: Winner of any medal in World/Asian Championships, Asian Games, CWG/World Cup, represented India twice in Asian Games/Commonwealth Games/World Cup, or represented India in Olympics
- Physical & Medical Standards: As per Army norms
Indian Army Sports Quota Recruitment - Selection Process
- Shortlisting based on sports achievements and eligibility
- Call for recruitment trials at designated Army Centres
- Physical Fitness Test, Physical Standards Test, and Skill Test
- Medical Examination at the trial site for qualifying candidates
- Final selection strictly on merit and vacancy availability in each sport

Indian Army Sports Quota Recruitment - Medical Standards
- Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify the Physical Fitness Test, Physical Standards Test, and Skill Test will undergo a medical examination conducted by an Army Medical Team at the trial site as per Army Medical standards and current policy.

Fitness Requirements:
- Must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disability likely to interfere with military duties in all weather and terrains.
- Vision, hearing, and general health must meet Army standards. Candidates are advised to check for flat foot, poor vision, deformities, and ensure ears are free of wax before the selection trials.
- Proper haircut and clean-shaven face required (except Sikh candidates).
- Referral & Review: Candidates found unfit will be referred to a Military Hospital for specialist review. They must report within 5 days, and the review must be completed within 7 days. The decision of Army medical authorities is final; no further appeal is permitted.

Other Standards:
- Permanent body tattoos are permitted only on the inner forearms, back of the hand, or as per tribal customs. Offensive or indecent tattoos are prohibited.
- Consumption or possession of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances is strictly prohibited and is a ground for rejection and dismissal.
- Passing the medical examination does not guarantee employment; final selection depends on overall merit and vacancy.
Indian Army Sports Quota Recruitment 2025 - Documents Required
- Duly filled application form (as per prescribed format in the notification, printed on A4 size paper)
- Recent passport-size photograph affixed on application form
- Signature and thumb impression on application form
- Self-attested copies of the following certificates/documents:
- Matriculation/10th certificate (for date of birth and educational qualification proof)
- All educational qualification certificates and mark sheets
- Sports achievement certificates (as per eligibility criteria; only achievements from 01 Apr 2023 or after will be considered)
- Domicile certificate (for region/height relaxation, if applicable)
- Caste certificate (if claiming reservation/relaxation)
- Two postcard size photographs of tattoos (if applicable, close up and distant view with details of size and type)
- Any other relevant certificates as mentioned in the notification or required for eligibility
- All documents must be self-attested and arranged in order as per the notification.
- Original documents must be produced at the time of selection trials for verification.
Incomplete or non-standard application forms and missing documents will lead to rejection.
Indian Army Sports Quota Recruitment - How to Apply
- Download and print the application form attached at the end of the official notification (A4 size only).
- Fill the form completely, affix photograph, sign, and add thumb impression.
- Attach self-attested copies of all educational and sports achievement certificates as per eligibility.
- Send the completed application form and documents to the following address:
