OHPC GET Recruitment 2025: Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Limited (OHPC), a Government of Odisha undertaking, invites applications for the post of Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) in various disciplines through GATE-2025 score. OHPC is a Gold-rated State PSU with an installed capacity of 2099.80 MW, operating six power projects within Odisha and one inter-state project.

OHPC GET Recruitment - Eligibility Criteria

  • Essential Qualification:
    • GET (Electrical): Full-time Degree in Electrical Engg./Electrical & Electronics Engg. (60% for Gen, 50% for SC/ST/PWD) or AMIE (50%)
    • GET (Civil): Full-time Degree in Civil Engg. (60% for Gen, 50% for SC/ST/PWD) or AMIE (50%)
    • GET (Mechanical): Full-time Degree in Mechanical Engg. (60% for Gen, 50% for SC/ST/PWD) or AMIE (50%)
    • GET (Instrumentation & Control): Full-time Degree/PG Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engg. (60% for Gen, 50% for SC/ST/PWD)
    • Valid GATE-2025 score in corresponding discipline
  • Age Limit (as on 01.05.2025):
    • Minimum: 21 years
    • Maximum: 32 years
    • Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Serviceman
    • 10 years for PWD (≥40% disability)
    • 15 years for PWD belonging to SC/ST/SEBC
  • Language Requirement:
    • Must be able to read, write and speak Odia fluently
    • Proof required through school certificates or Odia language test
  • Nationality: Indian citizen
  • Other Conditions:
    • Good moral character
    • Not having more than one living spouse (for married candidates)

OHPC GET Recruitment - Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting: Based on GATE-2025 score (marks out of 100) only
  2. Document Verification: For shortlisted candidates
  3. Merit List: Prepared based on GATE scores
  4. Tie-breaker: Career marks considered if GATE scores are tied
  5. Medical Examination: Final appointment subject to medical fitness

Note: There will be no personal interview. GATE scores from 2024 or earlier are not valid.

OHPC GET Recruitment - Pay and Benefits

During Training (1 year) GET Rs. 50,000/- per month + Rs.200/- medical allowance
After Training Assistant Manager (E-3) Pay Matrix: Rs.56,100-1,77,500 (Initial Basic Pay: Rs.56,100)
  • Remote Area Allowance: Rs.1000/- per month for postings at BHEP, Balimela and UIHEP, Mukhiguda
  • After regularization: Basic Pay, DA, HRA & other allowances as per OHPC rules

OHPC GET Recruitment - Training & Service Agreement

  • Training Period: 1 year (may be extended)
  • Probation: 1 year after training completion
  • Service Bond:
    • 1st Year (Training): Rs.2,16,000/-
    • 2nd Year (Probation): Rs.1,50,000/-
    • 3rd Year (After Confirmation): Rs.90,000/-
  • Minimum service period: 3 years (including training)

  1. Application Mode: Offline only
  2. Steps:
    • Download application form from OHPC website (www.ohpcltd.com)
    • Fill the form in A4 size paper with two recent passport photos
    • Attach required documents (educational certificates, GATE scorecard, caste certificate if applicable, etc.)
    • Pay application fee (if applicable) via Demand Draft
    • Send completed application by ordinary post to OHPC Corporate Office
  3. Application Fee:
    • UR & SEBC: Rs.750/- via Demand Draft
    • SC/ST of Odisha and PWD (≥40% disability) exempted
  4. Documents Required:
    • 10th & 12th certificates and mark sheets
    • Degree certificates and mark sheets
    • GATE-2025 scorecard and registration acknowledgement
    • Caste certificate (if applicable)
    • PWD certificate (if applicable)
    • Ex-Serviceman discharge certificate (if applicable)
    • Sports certificate (if applicable)
    • Odia language certificate
  5. Important Notes:
