- General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) course from an institute recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi
- OR B.Sc. (Nursing) degree holders are also eligible
- For institutes outside Bihar, suitability from Indian Nursing Council required
- Registration with Bihar Nurses Registration Council, Patna is mandatory
