ECIL Recruitment - Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit (as on 30/04/2025):
- Maximum: 27 years for UR candidates
- Relaxation:
- 5 years for SC/ST
- 3 years for OBC
- 10 years for PwD (40% or above disability)
- 5 years for J&K domicile (1980-1989)
- Additional relaxation for Ex-servicemen
- Up to 40 years for ECIL contract workers
- Educational Qualification:
- Matriculation/SSC or equivalent plus ITI certificate (NTC) with NAC
- OR Matriculation/SSC plus ITI certificate (NTC) with one-year relevant experience
- ITI certificate must be in the relevant trade
- Nationality: Indian nationals only
ECIL Recruitment - Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT - 85% weightage):
- 120 minutes duration (extra 20 mins for PwD)
- 100 multiple-choice questions (1 mark each)
- Negative marking: 0.25 for wrong answers
- Languages: English, Hindi, Telugu
- Exam cities: Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata
- Trade Test (15% weightage):
- Only for candidates shortlisted in 1:4 ratio
- Conducted at Hyderabad after document verification
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- 50% in each stage and 60% overall
- Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates
